Can a regular, genetically typical person – over 40 or 50 years old and with demanding career and/or family obligations – get leaner, stronger and more fit in just a few hours per week?
Yes!
With experienced, expert instruction.
Keep reading to learn how I’ve done it myself and taught many others to do it since 2008!
Over the years I have had my share of personal trainers. I was spinning my wheels until meeting Adam Farrah. In a short period of time, Kettlebell training has transformed my abilities. I have experienced marked increases in my strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. Adam is a great motivator with the knowledge to tie all aspects of training together.”

I have been working with Adam for 4 months now and I have to say he is brilliant! I’m an over forty desk job worker who hates the gym… so starting from the beginning when it comes to fitness!! Adam is really good at working to my level and getting me interested in the exercises so that I’m concentrating on form and working out without realising that’s what I’m doing – I have gone from being unable to do anything that involves upper body strength (I couldn’t even do a push-up against a wall) to doing sets of push-ups on my knees and I think I will get to my goal of a full push-up soon!!!”

Fitness for People Over 40 and Over 50 Years Old
As we age, our fitness training needs to change.
We can still train hard, intensely, enjoyably and get stronger, but we need different tools, different goals and better methods.
We also need expert instruction.
Intelligent and consistent training of appropriate frequency and intensity is the path to fitness over 40 and 50.
Adam has been a fantastic trainer to work with over the last year plus. His sense of body movement is superior when working around past injuries. He has tremendous understanding of kettlebell exercises and makes workouts challenging and new.”

The right exercise – particularly as we age – has significant benefits.
Mood improves. We feel and look younger. We sleep better. Posture improves.
We move better and more easily.
The training I’ll show you creates more robust and mobile joints.
It helps injury-proof lower backs, hips and shoulders.
More than just a workout, you’ll learn and practice movement skills and functional strength exercises that will serve you for a lifetime.
You’ll build cardio and endurance.
Proper fitness training over 40 and 50 should make you better at living your life.
It should make you better at your chosen sports, activities and daily living.
I was out on the bicycle twice this weekend. I felt great. Even with a nasty workout sandwiched between my rides, I felt stronger than ever at this time of year. Thanks for the tools.”
– Brett S, Hartford, CT
It should be fun, with lots of small wins and goals on the way to the big goals.
Training doesn’t have to injure, exhaust or otherwise compromise you. It doesn’t have to be that way. Even as we age.
We need training that protects the body from injury and increases strength, mobility and flexibility.
Since none of us are getting any younger, our training needs to insulate us from the typical issues that most in our culture consider to be inevitable symptoms of aging.
Things like lower back pain, shoulder pain, tight hips, achy joints, poor posture, poor sleep and other more serious problems like heart disease and Type II diabetes.
Adam is amazing! I have had a bad back for over 20 years.
In the course of a few months of training with Adam I have been able to reduce my visits to the chiropractor from twice a week to one every three weeks.
His understanding of what exercises I need to do to strengthen my core and improve my general well-being are outstanding. He is able to work with my limitations and still push me to be able to do more than I thought I could.”

How I got here…
Back in 2008, I was in my mid-30s and owned a warehouse-style kettlebell and fitness gym. I was also training in mixed martial arts intensively.
From the start I sought out the best teachers and mentors in fitness, kettlebell training, mobility and martial arts.
I was privileged to meet and train with some of the best coaches in the world over the course of more than a decade.
Coaches and legends like Steve Cotter, Ken Blackburn, Louie Simmons and Dr. Mark Cheng.
What followed for me were years of full-time teaching and coaching.
I teach an experience-honed blend of bodyweight and mobility training, authentic Russian-style kettlebell training and other effective fitness methods from every era and genre.
Over the years, my clients have included successful doctors, nurses, a pastry chef, attorneys, accountants, restaurant owners, stay-at-home moms and master martial artists.
I’ve trained athletes, police officers, semi-professional cage fighters and several people who were very overweight.
In 2010, I wrote my first book The Paleo Dieter’s Missing Link and added author and speaker to my resume.
Today, at 51 years old, I’m in the best shape of my life.
If you’re in the Old Saybrook area, I can lead you to the best shape of your life too.
Who I Work With
I work with a small number of people over 40 and over 50 who want premium, one-on-one, expert training, coaching and training supervision.
We train in my small, fully private gym and fitness studio.
I’m located in Saybrook Manor, in Old Saybrook. I’m right near the beach.
My typical coaching client is over 40, has a demanding career and/or family obligations and is committed to training for the long haul. Over-40 training is all about the long haul and making slow, steady and consistent progress.
You will train hard, but in a safe, individualized, incremental and fully-supervised way.
I’ve helped others achieve the best shape of their lives since 2008.
I can coach you to the best shape of your life too.
Let me show you how.
